Meridian HealthCare and Compass Family & Community Services Debut New Project Focused on Integrated Healthcare
Meridian HealthCare and Compass Family & Community Services conducted an open house last week for invited guests and elected officials to showcase their newly renovated facility in Warren, OH.
The new renovated facility opened on Monday, August 15th and is located at COMPASS’ current site, 320 High Street NE. This new project truly integrates primary and behavioral healthcare by embedding primary healthcare into both medication assisted treatment and recovery based programming. Meridian will also offer general family medicine services to the community in Trumbull County.
“COMPASS sees this strategic partnership as innovative and a great opportunity for the residents of Trumbull County to get their behavioral and primary healthcare under one roof,” stated Joseph F. Caruso, President & CEO of COMPASS. “We know this holistic approach will eliminate barriers to service and help improve the health of our community.”
The project could not have happened without the support of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, who helped secure a portion of the funds for the renovated building from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
“The addiction services provided for so many years at the COMPASS High Street location have helped hundreds of people achieve recovery and lead productive, fulfilling lives. The added health services here will reduce barriers to accessing them and more people get well and stay well. We are fortunate to have them in our community,” said April Caraway, Executive Director of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board.
