Pittsburgh and Cleveland Comedians to Be Featured in “Crossroads Comedy Rivalry”
Laugh All Night for $20 to Benefit Addiction Prevention Education — Thursday, October 20
Pittsburgh has the best professional hockey team (NHL Champs Penguins), Cleveland has the best basketball team (NBA Champions Cavaliers) — so which city has the best comedians? Area comedy fans will get a chance to find out at as two of Cleveland’s top stand-up comics join two of Pittsburgh’s best-known comedians in the Crossroads Comedy Rivalry, a Meridian HealthCare event sponsored by PNC Bank. Proceeds from the Crossroads Comedy Rivalry will help fund Addition Prevention Education and Treatment/Recovery programs at Meridian HealthCare to protect kids from drug addiction. Cleveland will be represented by Mike Paramore, a featured comedian on the Laughs TV show on FOX; and Bill Squire, one of Cleveland’s hottest comics and a rising star on the laugh circuit. Pittsburgh will counter with Aaron Kleiber, who was recently voted best comedian by Pittsburgh Magazine; and Mike Wysocki, who is known to Pittsburgh radio listeners. The event will take place on Thursday, October 20 at 7:00 pm in the Ford Recital Hall of the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown. AC McCullough and Kelly Stevens from Hot-101 will serve as emcees.
